Burford Primary and Nursery School is seeking to appoint a Level 3 Pastoral Assistant who is dedicated, flexible, and nurturing to join our supportive and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on children’s wellbeing, social development, and academic success.


In this role, you will:

• Support children’s wellbeing, learning, and development both in and out of the classroom.

• Recognise and respond to emotional and behavioural needs, modelling patience, care, and professionalism.

• Use empathy and active listening to build strong, trusted relationships with children and families.

• Work with pupils to identify barriers and deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to support behaviour, emotional development, and engagement in school life.

• Encourage independence and resilience in pupils, helping them navigate change and challenge.

• Promote and reinforce the school’s behaviour expectations, acting as a consistent and positive role model.

• Be a visible and proactive presence across the school, supporting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
